Placeholder content pending final counsel-approved copy. This notice summarises how SnapView collects and handles personal information collected from registrants on its Virtual Office Website (VOW), and incorporates the British Columbia Real Estate Association (BCREA) Privacy Notice and Consent.
When you register to view sold-listing data on SnapView, we collect your name, email address, username, and the timestamps at which you clicked to acknowledge our Terms of Use, this Privacy Policy / BCREA Privacy Notice, and your lawful REALTOR®/consumer relationship. We also keep an audit log of the listings and searches you access while your registration is active.
Your registrant record is used to provide and police access to VOW data, to satisfy our obligations to Greater Vancouver REALTORS® (GVR), and to respond to compliance enquiries from the Board. The audit log is used to detect and prevent unauthorized use of MLS® data, including scraping. We do not sell your information.
Your registrant record is retained for the duration of your active VOW access window (a maximum of 30 days from your most recent acknowledgement) and for a further 180 days after that window expires, in line with GVR Rule B.3 §6.
You consent to SnapView providing your name, email, username, and access records to GVR or any successor Board for compliance, auditing, or legal purposes if requested. Records made available to the Board will be supplied within 48 hours of a Board request unless the Board specifies a longer period.
BCREA, on behalf of its member real estate boards (including GVR), collects, uses, and discloses personal information for the purposes of operating the MLS® system and ensuring compliance with the Rules of Cooperation. By registering on SnapView you consent to that collection, use, and disclosure. A copy of the full BCREA Privacy Notice and Consent is available on request and will be linked here once counsel-approved final copy is published.
You may request access to or correction of your registrant record at any time by contacting privacy@snapview.io. You may withdraw consent at any time, which will end your VOW access; the post-expiry retention window described above will still apply.
Registrant records and the access audit log are stored encrypted at rest and protected by access controls. SnapView monitors for unauthorized access and scraping and will report suspected breaches to GVR as required.
